Fruit of a Perennial Herb-Bananas

Spring is coming and it’s not soon enough for me. Activity levels will increase with the warm weather and so will the need for extra energy.
According to a recent article I read, bananas help energize your body in many ways.
For your brain: Tryptophan, a type of protein the body converts into serotonin, assists you to relax, improves your mood and increases happiness. It contains Vitamin B6 which regulates blood glucose causing a calming effect on the nervous system. Bananas are the happy fruit.
For your heart and blood: The fruit has the ability to reduce the risk of high blood pressure and stroke.The vital mineral potassium helps normalize the heartbeat, sends oxygen to the brain and regulates your water balance. Bananas can also stimulate the production of hemoglobin in the blood and has been known to help in cases of anemia.

    Wow, makes me want to have a banana split, and a banana with peanut butter sandwich, and a banana popcicle. Guess I am hungry!
